Economic Expert And Nashville Resident Dr. Arthur Laffer To Lend Insight on TN Economic Issues At Book Event, Dec. 10

Americans for Prosperity Foundation Invites Dr. Laffer and Rep. Beth Harwell Amidst National Economic Turmoil

NASHVILLE – With the current financial crisis putting a shadow over the US economy, Tennesseans wonder if even a no income tax state like Tennessee is safe from recession. Dr. Arthur Laffer, father of supply side economics and former member of Ronald Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board, will address this question in Nashville at a special book event sponsored by grassroots group Americans For Prosperity Foundation on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Dr. Laffer will discuss how pro-growth economic policies can help address ongoing economic uncertainty in Tennessee and in the nation. Joining him is Rep. Beth Harwell to tell Nashville residents what they can do to affect economic policy in the state’s capitol.

Dr. Laffer will unveil his new book co-authored with Steve Moore of The Wall Street Journal editorial board and investment advisor Peter Tanous, The End of Prosperity: How Higher Taxes Will Doom Our Economy – If We Let It Happen. A book signing will immediately follow the event, where Dr. Laffer’s book will be available for purchase.
